Hyo-Jin Lee is a Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Biomedical Science at the Chungnam National University College of Medicine, and former Head of the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Chungnam National University Hospital in Daejeon, Korea. Professor Lee graduated from Chungnam National University College of Medicine in 1997 and subsequently undertook residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Chungnam National University Hospital. He worked from 2007 as a Clinical Professor at Chungnam National University Hospital and as an Adjunct Professor at Chungnam National University College of Medicine. In 2008, he obtained his PhD and subspecialty in Hematology/Oncology. He also completed his Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, and has held the position of Full Professor at Chungnam National University since 2020. Professor Lee is a member of several academic societies, including the American Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology, Korean Cancer Association, Korean Society of Medical Oncology, and the Korean Cancer Study Group. He is also actively involved in translational research focusing on tumor biology. He was the runner-up in Basic Research at the 7th Asia Pacific Oncology Summit, recipient of the Merit Award from the Conquer Cancer American Society of Clinical Oncology Foundation, Overall Winner at the 9th Asia Pacific Oncology Summit, and recipient of the following awards: Fellowship Grant from the European Multidisciplinary Cancer Congress, Boryung Award from the Korean Association for Clinical Oncology, Bowun Award for Research Excellence from the Chungnam National University College of Medicine, and Award from the Daejeon Medical Association.
