I am Professor Dr. Prasan Kumar Panda, MD, FACP, FICP, Department of Medicine (ID Division), AIIMS, Rishikesh, India. I am doing clinician-academic-research work at present. I am a strong believer of myself, my personal development is always purpose of life. Taking into consideration of my surroundings including my capacity, I progress ahead. Starting from my entry into medical school in 2002 till today, I have reached to the best medical college-hospital of my country i.e. All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). During this travel, I discovered myself both personally and socially. I have complete believe that selfless personal progress is a method of social progress. Personally, I felt happy while serving people in their illness, especially doing an internist job. Among disease groups I preferred Infectious Diseases (IDs) in my research. As an internist, I love to study what is the normality of symptoms, signs, and laboratory values. I correlate pathogenesis to pathology to clinical manifestations for each agent-host interaction. At this point, my expertise is majorly on Internal Medicine, Covid-19, H1N1, Dengue, Leishmaniasis, Scrub typhus, Fever, Sepsis, Shock, Hemophagocytic syndrome in infections, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Public health policy on infectious diseases. I am part of many journals including JASPI- Journal of Antimicrobial Stewardship Practices and Infectious Diseases as Editor-in-Chief, Recent Patents on Anti-Infective Drug Discovery as Guest Editor, BMC Infectious Diseases as Editorial Board Member. I am also Peer Reviewer of many journals including Annals of Internal Medicine, International Journal of Infectious Diseases, The Journal of the Association of Physicians of India, BMJ Case Reports, Bulletin of the World Health Organization, PLOS One, American Journal of Infectious Diseases, Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management, Journal of Medical Evidence, etc. My professional skills are many, all of them revolve around my knowledge, intuition, experiences, and right judgment towards 'all life is yoga'. My hobbies are playing cricket, swimming, TT, and flute and doing Yoga.
