Ayman El-Menyar, MBchB, MSc, MRCP, FRCP (Glasgow), FESC, FACC Dr. Ayman El-Menyar is a Director of Clinical Research in Trauma and Vascular Surgery at Hamad General Hospital, Doha, Qatar & Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College since 2007. He is a Principal Research Scientist (Professor) at Hamad General Hospital. He also worked as a cardiologist in Clinical Cardiology from 1993 until June 2011. He is a senior consultant of cardiology at the Egyptian Medical Syndicate. Dr. El-Menyar received his MBchB from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University (1989). He completed his internship at Cairo University and residency program at the National Heart Institute (Cairo). He completed his master’s degree in Cardiology in May 1995, Membership of the Royale College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2002 (England), and a Diploma of Fellowship from the Royal College of Glasgow (FRCP) in 2007. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). He previously worked as the director of clinical research in surgery at Westchester Medical Hospital and NY Medical College in 2017. Dr. El-Menyar has been involved in more than 350 research projects and was awarded the best publication at Hamad Medical Corporation on four occasions and the best oral presentation at the ECTES 2024. Dr. El-Menyar was awarded the Star of Excellence (HMC developing an infrastructure to embed research in the organization 2014), Award of Excellence in global educational leadership from The American college of academic international medicine, November 2018. He was also awarded the Path-breaking Research in Shock: INDUSEM Award-Jagatik Samman (ALL India India Institute of Medical Sciences, 2020). He has authored and co-authored 500 peer-reviewed articles, 200 international abstracts, and six chapters in books and published (co-editor)one book (Resuscitation) in 2024 (Istanbul Tip Kitabevi). H-index is 50 (December 2024). He mentors medical students, residents, and fellows on many research projects. He has been awarded three NPRP grants from the Qatar Foundation and four internal grants from HMC. He is a member of many international societies, Editorial Board of peer-reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer for many scientific journals, committees and organizations.
