My research focuses on the fields of biomaterials that are used in targeted therapy of Gastrointestinal Oncology, such as biomaterials-based phytogenic/chemistry, drug carrier, colloidal/micelle, nanoparticle, drug delivery and slow release, etc. Especially, I developed Tanshinone IIA@β-cyclodextrin encapsulated with Eucommia ulmoides rubber/acetylated starch film as novel oral delivery system for therapy of orthotopic colon cancer. The release mechanism was investigated. After 28 days, the tumor volume and weight in EUR/AS/Tan IIA@β-CD group were decreased by 20.0% and 34.6%, respectively. This research confirmed the good targeted therapy of natural phytogenic Tanshinone IIA on the orthotopic colon cancer, which attract more and more attention. Moreover, our research on the Eucommia ulmoides iridoids chemistry was published in Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry as a cover story, which has been cited more than 130 times. In addition, our group developed the actived films and phytogenic drug loaded hydrology wound dressing, which can accelerate the wound healing in rat model during 11 days. Up to now, more than 50 SCI papers have been published and my SCI's H-index is higher than 30. Furthermore, my peer reviewed more than 300 papers from Elsevier, ACS, RSC, Spring, etc. I was granted as outstanding reviewer by journal of carbohydrate polymers. I primarily engaged in fields of the targeted therapy of Gastrointestinal Oncology by using biomaterials; I am good at the professional skills such as active listening skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, etc. I can establish good cooperation with many scientists, researchers, PhD students from different countries. We have published many SCI papers together, in which some papers have became highly cited papers. Finally, my hobbies are hiking, swimming, and football. They make me more relaxing and can help me more concentrate on my research.
