Ugo Cioffi obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Naples, Italy, in 1981, specilization in General Surgery, and his Ph.D. degree in medicine from the University of Milan. He worked as a Researcher at IRCCS Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, University of Milan, since 1989. From 2005 he was a Contract Professor at the University of Milan. Since 2012 he has been working as a Full Professor of surgery. His preferred research interests are esophageal,, mediastinal, and lung surgery, VATS He was awarded the ATLAS OF SCIENCE in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and the International Biographical Centre Cambridge International Biographical Association award in 2014.
