Hui-Xiong Xu received the MD degree in Clinical Medicine from Tongji Medical University, China, in 1994, and PhD degree in Imaging Medicine from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2001. He is the full professor in Ultrasound in Medicine of Fudan University, and also the guest professor of Tongji University, Jilin University, and Nanjing Medical University. Prof. Dr. Hui-Xiong Xu is currently the assistant dean of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University and Director of Department of Ultrasound, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University. He is also the Director of Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Ultrasound Diagnosis and Treatment, the President of Institute of Ultrasound In Medicine and Engineering, Fudan University, and the President of Ultrasound Research and Education Institute, Tongji University School of Medicine. He was once the vice-president of Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital of Tongji University. He is the president-elect of the Committee of Ultrasound in Medicine of Shanghai Medical Association (SMA). He is also an Expert Panel Member of International Guideline of Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound in the Liver by World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) and Ultrasound Elastography of Prostate Guideline by WFUMB, and a Member of International Contrast Ultrasound Society. He is the associate editor of British Journal of Radiology, and Editoral Board Member and Reviewer for a lot of outstanding journals such as NBE, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, ACS Nano, JCEM, Eur Radiol, and so on. His research focuses on diagnostic and interventional imaging in medicine, particularly the use of interventional ultrasound in clinical practice. He is the winner of National Distinguished Young Scholar from National Natural Scientific Foundation Committee, which has been granted to only three scholars in the field of Ultrasound in its history. His research interest includes US-guided ablation for tumor, Contrast-enhanced ultrasound, AI in US, and US elastography. He has published a lot of papers in the journals of such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Communications (×6), Science Advances, EClinnicalMedicine, EBioMedicine, J Clin Invest, J Exp Med, Advanced Science (×9), Radiology, European Radiology (×9), Advanced Materials (×5), Nano Today (×2), Thyroid, JCEM, and so on, as the first or corresponding author.
