Biography: Dr. Sunil Sheth, MBBS, MD, AGF, FASGE is the Co-Director of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Pancreas Center, a designated National Pancreas Foundation Center of Excellence in the United States. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He serves as the Medical Director of the Massachusetts Chapter of National Pancreas Foundation. He is a leading consultant at the BIDMC for patients seeking second opinions with complex pancreatic disorders, from within the United States and internationally. Dr. Sheth is currently the principal investigator of several ongoing pancreas trials at the BIDMC, and is extensively published in this field. He actively serves on several national and societal committees in pancreatology, as well as in training and education. In addition, he has been an invited faculty, speaker, discussant and moderator at several national and societal conferences. He is the recipient of the National Pancreas Foundation’s prestigious “Nobility in Science Award” for excellence in pancreatology, and commitment to the care of patients with pancreatic disorders. Dr. Sheth is a well-recognized clinician, innovator, educator, leader and clinical investigator with special areas of focus and achievement in education and training in gastroenterology, and advanced expertise in pancreatology, which has led to both national and international recognition.
