I am a Higher Specialty Trainee in General Surgery at Health Education England (Kent, Surrey and Sussex West Deanery), committed to specializing in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery (HpB). My aspiration is to become an academic HpB surgeon with specialist skills in robotic surgery, offering high quality treatment to patients with malignant and benign HpB disease. I have a strong interest in research and especially in cancer biology having completed a PhD (currently PhD candidate) in colorectal liver metastases at University of Surrey. My research investigates the role of HOX and PBX genes in colorectal cancer and colorectal liver metastases which has been awarded the International Gold Medal (Moynihan Prize) by the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and the National Sylvia Lawler Prize by the Royal Society of Medicine. My vision is international clinical and research multidisciplinary collaboration providing the optimal outcomes for patients with HpB disease.
