Raquel Rocha dos Santos, PhD, Professor, Federal University of Bahia. Nutritionist, professor, and researcher. I work in clinical practice with patients with gastrointestinal diseases and research specifically with inflammatory bowel disease and steatotic liver disease associated with metabolic dysfunction. I perform these activities with other leading researchers locally and internationally. I have 51 articles published, with 6 as the first author and 22 as the corresponding author. 645 citations by scopus and 748 by web of science. Google Scholar's H-index 15. I have peer-reviewed approximately 25 papers in the last 5 years. I aim to strengthen and advance clinical research with several partners, including international ones. We have started studies on metabolomics in two major areas of work: inflammatory bowel disease and steatotic liver disease associated with metabolic diseases. I intend to advance in this field. I have established healthy partnerships with researchers since my undergraduate days, representing 24 years of pursuing the same lines of research. I have also managed to maintain leadership in research groups, mentoring several undergraduate and graduate students, and interacting well with various professional groups. Currently, I am the Vice-Director of the School of Nutrition at UFBA which requires management skills andproblem-solving skills. Planting and composting, playing outdoor activities (park, biking, volleyball), and traveling.
