Professor Desmond Yip MBBS FRACP is a medical oncologist from The Canberra Hospital, ACT Australia and a faculty member of the Australian National University.He is the present director of the Department of Medical Oncology. His clinical and research interests are in the area of gastrointestinal oncology and developmental thearpeutics. He has been involved in national guideline development for the Australian Cancer Network in colorectal cancer and in systematic reviews with the Cochrane Collaboration in gastrointestinal malignancies. He has also published widely in the field of oncology. He is an active member of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG) and a former chair of the Gastrointestinal Group of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA).
