My name is Corina Marilena Cristache, DDS, MD, PhD, Dr. Habil, and I am currently a Professor at “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, where I specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology. I also manage my own private clinic, Concordia Dent, in Bucharest. I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and researcher focused on advancing digital dentistry, biomaterials, and artificial intelligence applications in medical and dental practice. I am deeply motivated by the potential of technology to improve patient outcomes, diagnosis, and treatment in minimally invasive ways, setting my work apart through a multidisciplinary approach combining medical, dental, and legal perspectives. Throughout my academic career, I have published over 150 scientific papers as lead or corresponding author, delivered more than 100 oral communications and poster presentations at national and international conferences, and co-authored over 20 specialty books and chapters. My research has been cited widely, earning me an H-index of 22 on Google Scholar, 15 on Web of Science, and 17 on Scopus. I have also secured and led several national and international research grants, including two funded by the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and one national patent was awarded to me in 2023. I have peer reviewed over 150 manuscripts for academic journals indexed in Web of Science and have contributed as an editorial author on multiple occasions, further supporting the academic publishing process. My long-term professional goal is to continue contributing to the integration of digital workflows, AI, and innovative biomaterials in dental medicine, especially in the areas of implant prosthodontics, diagnosis of periodontal disease, and maxillofacial rehabilitation, promoting evidence-based, personalized treatment solutions. My professional skill set includes strong leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities, in addition to excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, which support my teaching, clinical, and research roles. I also place great value on active listening and team collaboration to foster productive academic and clinical environments. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, traveling, and exploring innovations in health technologies, as well as engaging in educational initiatives that bridge medical knowledge with public health awareness.
