Abanoub Riad, DDS, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine, and Epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. His research encompasses global health, infectious diseases, vaccine hesitancy, drug safety, oral health, and mental health, reflecting a career that bridges clinical dentistry with advanced epidemiological expertise. Recognised for an interdisciplinary approach, his work integrates biomedical, behavioural, and policy perspectives to address complex public health challenges and inform evidence-based interventions that can be translated into practice and policy. Prof. Riad has authored and co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles, including 54 as first or last author, published in leading international journals. His research has been cited more than 6,256 times, and he holds a Scopus H-index of 34. He has delivered more than ten invited presentations at international academic conferences, contributing to scholarly discourse at a global level.
