Bruno Megarbane is Professor of critical care medicine at Paris University in Paris, France. He is the head of the Department of Medical and Toxicological Critical Care at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris. His clinical researches focus at identifying prognostic factors and improving the management of severe poisonings including cardiotoxicant poisonings. He also actively participates to experimental researches at INSERM U1144, investigating the mechanisms of toxicity of psychotropic drugs like opioids and the new psychoactive substances. He is a Past President of the European Association of Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicologists (EAPCCT). He is also an active member of the French Intensive Care Society (FICS), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM), the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT). He is associate editor in Clinical Toxicology.
