Editorial board member of World Journal of Pharmacology, Dr. Abdolghaffari is an assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tehran Medical Sciences, Islamic Azad University in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Abdolghaffari completed his Ph.D. at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2015. He received a Postdoc Fellow of pharmacodynamic and toxicological mechanisms of drugs in the gastrointestinal system at the same university in 2016. He has also awarded as a distinguished young scientist in Ebnesina Festival, 2015. His research interests lie in the area of pharmacology, with particular emphasize on the application of chemical and natural products in gastrointestinal disorders. He founded the Gastrointestinal Pharmacology Interest Group (GPIG) in USERN to develop international scientific communication in this field. Dr. Abdolghaffari is the author/co-author of over sixty refereed publications and books in pharmacology and digestive-related impairments. He also holds patents deriving from his research. Over her 10-year teaching career, he taught 6 different undergraduate and graduate courses, in pharmacology. He has been the primary or secondary supervisor of over 20 graduate students, and has also supervised many undergraduate senior essays.
