BIOGRAPHY                                                           Dr. Enver Fekaj was enrolled in Faculty of Medicine in the academic year 1989/90 at the University of Prishtina. The studies in Faculty of Medicine has finished on September 30, 1996 with the average grade of studies 9,59. In 1995 he has been awarded by a Diploma “A distinguished student” On January 2000 he started specialization in General Surgery at University Clinical Center of Kosovo, and has finished specialization on December 2004. He was in Mannheim- Germany, Turkey, and Croatia for professional advances in General Surgery (open and laparoscopic surgery). On January 28, 2005 Dr. Enver Fekaj has publicly defended master thesis entitled “Diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis in Surgery Clinic- Prishtina in the period January 2001- December 2002” and obtained the title – Master of Medical Sciences. Since 1998 he is a teaching assistant of Surgery in Faculty of Medicine at University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”. Since February 2006, Dr. Enver Fekaj works as a general surgeon in the Department of Abdominal Surgery at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. On December 4, 2017 he has defended the PhD thesis entitled “The influence of ursodeoxycholic acid in liver functional restoration of patients with obstructive jaundice after endoscopic treatment” Dr. Enver Fekaj has published 11 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, and participated in many national and international scientific meetings and conferences. Dr. Enver Fekaj is a Member of Editorial Boards in some open-access peer-reviewed journals: He is an active member of International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC.
