My name is Junjun Li, MD, and I currently serve as an Associate Chief Neurosurgeon at Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. I specialize in neuro-oncology and have dedicated my career to the clinical and translational research of brain tumors, with a particular focus on elucidating the regulatory mechanisms of the glioblastoma immune microenvironment and developing precision therapeutic strategies to improve patient outcomes. This commitment to integrating clinical needs with basic research allows me to bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the field of neurosurgery. To date, I have authored or co-authored 15 peer-reviewed articles as first or corresponding author in high-impact international journals such as Nature Communications and Cancer Research. I have presented my research findings in over 10 keynote and oral presentations at international academic conferences, and my work has received more than 800 citations, with a current Google Scholar H-index of 12. In recognition of my contributions, I have been honored with the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the prestigious Academician Scholarship. I am an active member of the Chinese Society of Neurosurgery and the International Society for Neuro-Oncology, engaging with peers to advance the discipline globally. Beyond my own research, I contribute to the broader scientific community by serving as a peer reviewer for more than 50 manuscripts submitted to respected international journals and have written three invited editorials. My long-term research vision is to drive innovation in nerve injury repair and regeneration, alongside developing novel immunotherapeutic approaches for glioblastoma, to bridge the gap between bench and bedside. I excel at active listening, clear communication, team leadership, mentoring young physicians, project management, and solving complex clinical problems. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy outdoor sports, reading history, and traveling, which enrich my perspective and motivate me to pursue excellence in both research and patient care.
