I am Serdar Moralıoğlu, M D, An Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences, Turkiye. I graduated from Gazi University Medical School and completed my Pediatric Surgery residency at Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology, Gazi University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey. I am working at Istanbul Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Diseases Health Training and Research Center, which is the affiliated tertiary pediatric center. My clinical and research interest areas are Newborn Surgery and Pediatric Urology. Since 2010, I specialized in pediatric genitourinary anomalies. I am a member of the Society for Pediatric Urology in Turkey ( S P U T), Turkish Association of Paediatric Surgeons (T A P S ) and European Paediatric Surgeons’ Association (E U P S A ). I have regularly attended many national and international courses, workshops, and congresses organised by EUPSA, ESPU ( European Society of Pediatric Urology ), SPUT, and TAPS in the field of Pediatric Urology. I have published more than 60 articles in prominent academic peer-reviewed international journals. In total, these have been cited over 500 times. My Web of Science and Google Scholar H- indexes are 8 and 13, respectively. I have reviewed over 100 manuscripts for leading international peer-reviewed journals. I have four book chapters titled 'Undescended Testes,' 'Ambiguous Genitalia,' 'Breast Diseases in Childhood,' and 'Newborn Gastrointestinal System Obstructions. I have been actively involved in the pediatric surgery residency program and have mentored several residents since 2010. I currently manage and participate in several research projects related to pediatric urology, with a particular focus on ischemia- reperfusion injury and lower urinary tract dysfunctions. I am also deeply interested in mentorship and leadership in surgery, as well as the promotion of surgeon wellness and well-being. I like to travel, listening music and windsurfing.
