Dr. Rodrigues is a Distinguished Professor in the School of Medicine at Federal University of Minas Gerais. Having received his MD degree from School of Medicine of Federal University of Minas Gerais, in 1993. Dr. Rodrigues undertook his postgraduate training at the Clinics Hospital of Federal University of Minas Gerais and has been an Attending Pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologyst since 1995. After a year reserch fellowsip in pediatric hepatology at Clinics Hospital of Federal University of Minas Gerais she obtained her Master Degree in Helth Sciency and at 2020 she obtained her PhD.  The trigger for her interest in chronic liver disease was during her pediatric gastroenterology residency, when she began organizing the ambulatory patient database for autoimmune hepatitis. She also specializes in pediatric intensive care medicine and is an instructor in AHA's advanced pediatric life support course. She became a professor of Pediatric since 2015. Her ongoing research interests are autoimmune hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is a professor of pediatric residency program and pediatric internship of Clinics Hospital of Federal University of Minas Gerais. The Clinics Hospital of the Federal University of Minas Gerais is a state reference for chronic liver disease.
