Dr. Roberto Antonucci is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Sassari University School of Medicine, Sassari, Italy. He is Chief of Pediatric Clinic, and Director of Post-graduate School of Pediatrics, at University of Sassari. He is a Certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor. Dr. Antonucci earned his medical degree and specialized in Pediatrics at the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy. He earned an Advanced Master's in Physiologic and Pathologic Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care at University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy. For about 20 years, Dr. Antonucci worked as a physician in the Pediatric Clinic, and then as a senior physician in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, at University of Cagliari. Subsequently, he was appointed as Chief of Division of Neonatology and Pediatrics at “Nostra Signora di Bonaria” Hospital, San Gavino Monreale, Italy. He has been Professor of Neonatology and Neonatal Resuscitation at the Postgraduate School of Pediatrics, University of Cagliari, and currently plans, coordinates and directs NRP courses all over Sardinia island. Dr. Antonucci is the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in journals as well as book chapters and reviews. His research concentrates on Neonatology, Neonatal Nephrology, Neonatal pharmacology, Metabolomics in Neonatology and Pediatrics, Clinical Risk Management in Neonatology and Pediatrics. Dr. Antonucci has been invited to present regularly at regional, national and international professional meetings. He is Co-founder and Directorate Member of the Italian Society of Hospital Pediatrics, Scientific Director of the Italian Society of Hospital Pediatrics website, and Scientific Co- Director of the Italian Society of Neonatology website.
