Dr. Lalit Gupta is a distinguished Professor at Maulana Azad Medical College and Associated Lok Nayak Hospital. As the Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, he has earned accolades such as the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Best Anesthesiologists Award (2022) and the Vishisht-Chikitsa Ratan Award by DMA. With over 130 publications, Dr. Gupta contributes extensively to national and international journals, serving on editorial boards and as a reviewer for 70 publications. He is the author of “Synopsis of Anaesthesia & Drugs in Anaesthesia” and a foundation member of the Anaesthesia & Critical Care Foundation Society. His research spans pain management, difficult airway management, onco-anaesthesia, palliative care, and intensive care. Dr. Gupta is a member of both the World Association of Medical Editors and the Council of Science Editors. He was honored with a Royal Fellowship by the IOASD and serves on the Delphi Panel for developing AWaRe-based quality indicators for antibiotic stewardship. He is also a panel member for the Research Award Category for Manuscript Scientific Services. Dr. Gupta is also a contributor for the prioritization and refinement of MD/MS thesis topics for the Centre for Evidence for Guidelines, Department of Health Research, MoH & FW, Govt. of India (ICMR-NMC MD/MS thesis). He is a Life member of the reputed National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He is an active life Member of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, the Indian College of Anesthesiologists, as well as the Airway Management Foundation (AMF). He is associated with many critical care and anaesthesia societies. He has worked extensively on intensive care, palliative care, and difficult airway management. He is also an Instructor and provider for the Acute Critical Care Management course (ACCM). His research interests are: Intensive Care, Remote area-anaesthesia management, Difficult airway, Onco-anaesthesia, Pain medicine, and palliative care.
