Ph.D. in Medicine, currently serving as a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Orthopedics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine Affiliated Ninth People's Hospital. Holds the positions of Executive Associate Editor-in-Chief of Mechanobiology in Medicine, Associate Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Director of Journal of Medical Biomechanics, and Shanghai Editorial Director of Journal of Orthopaedic Translation. Additionally, serves as an Editorial Board Member and Academic Editor for journals such as Bone, Bone Reports, and PLOS ONE. Concurrently holds roles as a Committee Member of the National Biomechanics Professional Committee, Member of the Basic Science Group of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Orthopaedic Association, and Committee Member of the Shanghai Biomechanics Professional Committee. Currently leads five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one sub-project of the Ministry of Science and Technology's Key R&D Program, and three projects funded by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission. Also participates as a key member in a National Key R&D Program. Co-edited*Atlas of Bone Cells (3rd Edition) as Associate Editor and contributed as an editorial board member for *Biomechanics of Bone and Joints. Primary research focuses on biomechanics and mechanobiology in bone and joint system diseases: (1) Bone and cartilage sensing and responding to biomechanical stimuli:to achieve and maintain proper structure. Research emphasizes innovative 3D imaging and modeling techniques to study changes in bone and cartilage quality and microstructure during aging and disease progression. (2) Mechanobiology of bone and cartilage, employing in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo methods to investigate mechanisms of skeletal and chondral adaptation and regeneration under mechanical environments, as well as their applications in disease treatment, prevention, and bone/cartilage tissue engineering. Has published over 50 academic papers and 40+ conference papers in the field. Recognized with the 2019 Young Investigator Emerging Country Travel Grant from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) and the 2020 Travel Award from the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI).
