I am Prof. Nilabja Sikdar. I have done PhD in Cancer Genetics and Epidemiology, I am currently affiliated with Indian Statistical Institute. I am Prof and working in pancreatic cancer gallbladder cancer genetics. I am working in Next Generation sequencing techniologies, Identifiying genomic alterations in Indian Pancreatic and gallbladder cancer patients and then We are looking for the susceptable genes that are involved in development of Pancreatic and Gallbladder Cancer in Indian patient. We have published total 39 research articles, Book chapters and Reviews. I have two extramural project grants on pancreatic cancer and gallbladder cancer genetics. I have got awareded with many prestigious awards from India and internationally. I have the editor of Frontiers in Oncology, I have also section editor of the book (springer nature). Almost 100 we have peer reviewed and 20 Editorial I have written. My professional goal will be Identification of new genes that are involved in pancreatic cancer and gallbladder cancer patients from India. and we need to identify the molecular mechanisms for these newly identified genes to develop these cancers. I am managing lab from last 10 years , and I have done almost 15 PhD thesis and also for 7 Mtech Thesis. I am also an examiners for several Institutions. My hobbies are travelling, planting, gardening and reading books.
