Ying-Kun Xu holds a Medical Doctor degree and serves as an Assistant Researcher at the Department of General Surgery, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. As a Medical Doctor and Assistant Researcher, I specialize in diagnosing and treating tumors of the endocrine system and urinary tract, with a particular focus on triple-negative breast cancer and clear cell renal cell carcinoma. My research aims to understand the role of abnormal fatty acid metabolism in solid tumors, striving to identify new therapeutic strategies. My expertise is distinguished by my in-depth focus on metabolic pathways and my contributions as both a first and corresponding author in numerous high-impact publications, highlighting my commitment to advancing cancer research. I have published 25 SCI-indexed journal articles, including 19 as the first author and 6 as the corresponding author, with a total impact factor exceeding 116. I have presented at multiple international academic conferences, such as the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in the USA and the Global Breast Cancer Conference, and received the Best Poster Award from the Korean Cancer Association. My publications have been cited 664 times on Google Scholar, with an H-index of 12. Additionally, I serve as an editorial board member and invited reviewer for several academic journals​. I have peer-reviewed over 150 manuscripts for various academic journals. Additionally, I serve as an academic editor for renowned journals such as "Frontiers in Immunology" and "Frontiers in Oncology", and have been invited to provide expert review services for top-tier journals like "iScience" and "Aging-US", making significant contributions to peer review and scholarly communication in the academic community. My personal and professional goals are to advance innovation in tumor diagnosis and treatment through in-depth research on tumor metabolic mechanisms. I focus on triple-negative breast cancer and clear cell renal cell carcinoma, particularly exploring the role of aberrant fatty acid metabolism in these tumors. By uncovering these mechanisms, I aim to provide new therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcomes. Additionally, I am dedicated to sharing my research findings through international academic exchanges, contributing to the progress of the scientific community​. I possess excellent communication and active listening skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and patients while building strong trust-based relationships. My interpersonal skills allow me to collaborate efficiently within multidisciplinary teams, driving project progress. As a team leader, I demonstrate leadership by motivating team members and excelling in project management. I am also skilled in mentoring young researchers, helping them develop their research capabilities. Additionally, I have strong problem-solving abilities, finding innovative solutions to complex research challenges​. I enjoy working on text editing and am passionate about playing badminton, which helps me maintain my physical and mental well-being outside of work​.
