Dr. Gianpiero Gravante, MBChB, MD, PhD, FRCS, is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, Deputy Chief of General Surgery at “Francesco Ferrari” Hospital in Casarano (Lecce, Italy), and External Advisor of the Regional Ethical Committee (AReSS Puglia). He received his specialist training in both Italy and the United Kingdom, completing fellowships in colorectal and emergency surgery at Oxford University Hospitals, and has developed a broad expertise in colorectal, general, emergency surgery and interventional endoscopy.
