Professor Shridhar Iyer is a Senior Consultant and Group Head of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, National University Health System and Surgical Director of Liver Transplant Program at the National University Hospital. He graduated from Grant Medical College, Bombay University, India in 1994. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 1999. He completed Advanced Specialty training in General Surgery at the National University Hospital in 2005 and admitted as a Fellow to the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine of Singapore. As a recipient of the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) scholarship in 2006, Dr. Shridhar Iyer completed Fellowship in Liver surgery and Liver transplantation at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. His research interests are HPB diseases  and different aspects of living donor liver transplantation and published regularly in peer reviewed journals and has over 60 publications and over 100 presentations at international meetings. He is the Founding Member and Current President of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (Singapore) and held several office positions. He has led several quality improvement projects in the hospital including reducing length of stay, efficient discharge processes which have been recognized with Merit awards. He has contributed actively to development of Adult Living donor Liver transplant program and Donor Surgery for Pediatric Living Donor Liver Transplant at National University Hospital, Singapore. He has a keen interest in surgical education and served as  the program director for general surgery residency program at National University Hospital  from 2010 to 2018  and led  first ACGME-I accreditation for General Surgery residency outside of United states. He has led the surgical skills training program and curriculum development for general surgery training which was recognized with post graduate teaching awards.
