Dr Sheyu Li an associate professor and clinical endocrinologist at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, West China Hospital, Sichuan University as well as the liaison of MAGIC China Centre. His research interests include evidence synthesis and its translation into clinical decision-making and real-world implementation. He has contributed in many evidence synthesis works around diabetes and chronic metabolic disorders with publications in The Lancet, The BMJ, Annals of Internal Medicine and other impactful journals. Dr Li was the clinical co-chair of a BMJ Rapid Recommendation, a trustworthy clinical practice guideline, for SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists in adults living with type 2 diabetes. He is leading an electronic medical record (EMR)-based multicentre database of diabetes (WECODe) and West China Recommendation (WCR), a Chinese trustworthy guideline platform in cooperation with MAGIC Evidence Ecosystem Foundation. Using GRADE approach and techniques of medical informatics, Dr Li aims to improve the quality and dissemination of clinical practice guideline in China and the world.
