I have done MBBS, MD (Medicine) and DM (Gastroenterology & Hepatology). I did my MD and DM from Post graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh which is the second best medical institute of India (after AIIMS, New Delhi). Subsequently, I did 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in advanced endoscopy from the same institute. I also got 2-month experience in EUS and ERCP from Florida Hospital, Orlando, FL, USA (under the guidance of Dr Shyam Varadarajulu and Prof Robert Hawes. I have got 18 publications (17 full length articles in eminent journals and 1 book chapter). I have published in journals like NEJM, Lancet, Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Endoscopy and Digestive Endoscopy. For the last 1 year, I am a member of peer review team of journal “Endoscopic Ultrasound” and till now I have reviewed more than 15 papers for this journal. Besides my interest and experience in endoscopy, I have also learnt medical statistics and how to conduct a meta-analysis. Within the wide field of meta-analysis, I have also learnt the concepts of Meta-analysis of Diagnostic Test Accuracy (DTA), which is considered a very complicated area of statistics. Presently, I am working as Assistant Professor in Department of Gastroenterology in Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMCH), Ludhiana, Punjab, India. This is the oldest and one of the most reputed medical colleges of India.
