My name is **Prof. Dr. Sudhamshu Kumar K.C.**, PhD in Hepatology, and I am currently serving as the **Professor of Hepatology at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Kathmandu, Nepal**, and the **Chief Consultant Hepatologist at the Center for Liver Disease, Kathmandu**. I am a dedicated academic and clinician specializing in liver diseases, driven by a mission to improve hepatology care in Nepal through clinical excellence, advanced interventional procedures, and academic leadership. What distinguishes me in my field is my role as a pioneer in introducing interventional hepatology in Nepal and my commitment to blending cutting-edge research with compassionate patient care. Over the past two decades, I have published more than **60 articles** as the first or corresponding author in both national and international peer-reviewed journals. I have delivered **over 30 invited lectures** at international academic conferences and have been cited more than **1,200 times**, with a **Google Scholar H-index of 16**. I have received numerous accolades, including the **NAST Science and Technology Promotion Award** and the **Mahendra Vidya Bhushan**, and I am the current **President of the Nepalese Association for the Study of Liver (NASL)**. In addition to my own publications, I have served as a peer reviewer for over **100 manuscripts** and authored **10 editorials** in academic journals, contributing significantly to maintaining high standards in scientific publishing. My long-term professional and academic goal is to elevate hepatology care and research in Nepal by focusing on **liver cancer, viral hepatitis, cirrhosis management**, and the development of **interventional techniques** suited to resource-limited settings. I bring a broad range of professional competencies including **active listening**, **effective communication**, **team leadership**, **mentorship of junior doctors and researchers**, **clinical problem-solving**, and the **strategic management** of multidisciplinary care teams. Outside of medicine, I enjoy **reading history and literature**, **traveling to new places**, and **engaging in nature walks**, which help me maintain a balanced and reflective personal life.
