I am Xiaoying Zhou, MD, PhD, an Associate Professor and Postgraduate Supervisor in Gastroenterology at Nanjing Medical University, and also serve as an Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Gastroenterology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. My research is dedicated to unraveling the molecular mechanisms by which Helicobacter pylori infection contributes to gastrointestinal cancers and metabolic disorders, with a distinctive focus on the roles of non-coding RNAs, exosomes, and the gut-liver axis; I am driven by a commitment to translate basic research findings into clinical applications that improve early diagnosis and personalized treatment strategies, and my work is set apart by its integrative approach that combines cutting-edge bioinformatics, multi-omics analyses, and artificial intelligence with traditional clinical gastroenterology. My academic contributions are evidenced by the publication of over 40 peer-reviewed articles in reputable international journals, including more than 15 where I served as first or corresponding author in high-impact publications such as Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research (IF:11.3), Scientific Reports (IF:4.6), and Neurobiology of Disease (IF:6.1); I have been invited to deliver multiple oral presentations at major international conferences including Digestive Disease Week (DDW) in the USA and United European Gastroenterology Week (UEG Week) in Austria, and my work has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the First Prize of Jiangsu Medical Science and Technology Award and the National Scholarship of China; I am also an active committee member of the Microecology Group within the Gastroenterology Branch of the Cross Taiwan Strait Health Communication Association. To support the broader scientific community, I serve as a peer reviewer for several academic journals, contributing to the manuscript review process, though specific counts of reviews and editorial writings are not detailed in my CV. My long-term professional goal is to become a leading figure in the prevention and management of digestive diseases, with a sustained research focus on the interplay between gut microbiota and host health, the discovery of novel biomarkers for early cancer detection, and the development of AI-powered predictive models for clinical outcomes.
