Associate professor of Hepatology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil since 1993. Have published 60 articles win hepatology field, mainly in hepatitis C, NAFLD and cirrhosis. Works with NAFLD in diabetes patients and non-invasive markers of fibrosis. Cardiovascular risk in liver disease is also a field of interest.Prof Cristiane Villela-Nogueira is also a tutor for the pos graduation program of internal medicine at UFRJ since 2010 and is currently the President of the Liver Group of Rio de Janeiro.
