Prof. Righi graduated in medicine and specialized in Infectious Diseases at Genoa University, Italy. She worked in Congo, Africa, on a project for the reduction of HIV vertical transmission. Prof. Righi completed a PhD program in collaboration with the VIC (Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center) at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, US), studying cytokine signatures in cancer immunology and viral diseases. Prof Righi's expertise regards infections in transplant recipients and immunocompromised patients with a focus on antimicrobial resistance.
