I am Jun Liu, PhD, Professor, and Master Supervisor. Affiliated with the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Anhui Medical University, I serve as both a pathophysiology professor and science researcher. My research focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma, post-translational protein modifications, and the tumor microenvironment, with the aim of uncovering their molecular mechanisms to advance the development of new therapeutic approaches and improve patient prognosis. By emphasizing the regulatory roles of post-translational protein modifications and the tumor microenvironment, I have established a unique research perspective in hepatocellular carcinoma studies—one that connects molecular mechanisms to microenvironmental interactions. To date, I have published over 11 articles as either the first author or corresponding author, including 2 in Top Journals of CAS Category 1 and 1 article designated as an ESI Highly Cited Paper. I have also delivered a presentation at an international academic conference and was honored with the title of "Young Top Talent" under the 2023 Anhui Provincial High-End Talent Introduction and Cultivation Program. Currently, I hold the positions of Member of the Anti-inflammatory and Immunopharmacology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, Standing Member of its Youth Committee, and Deputy Director of the Pathophysiology Teaching and Research Section at the School of Basic Medical Sciences. Additionally, I have reviewed a total of 40 academic manuscripts so far. As a pathophysiology teacher, I have always regarded it as my responsibility to help medical students build a solid disciplinary foundation and deepen their understanding of disease mechanisms. Through systematic teaching and professional guidance, I am committed to supporting more medical students in mastering the core knowledge and application logic of this course efficiently. As a researcher, I focus on oncology-related studies, with a firm goal of addressing key challenges in tumor research. I aspire to achieve breakthrough results in relevant scientific exploration and contribute my efforts to advancing the development of tumor diagnosis and treatment technologies and safeguarding human health. Equipped with strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and management capabilities, I excel at coordinating scientific research projects and uniting team strengths. Furthermore, I leverage my ability to provide precise guidance to support student development and apply acute problem-analysis and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges in both teaching and research. I have consistently maintained the habits of reading and running. Immersive engagement with texts during reading allows me to settle my thoughts, enhance concentration, and expand my cognitive horizons through knowledge acquisition; meanwhile, the rhythmic pace and breathing during running help me strengthen my physique, relieve stress, and tackle daily work and life with more energy.
