Kenichi IKEJIMA is currently a Professor of Department of Gastroenterology at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine since 2017 (Associate professor since 2011). He was graduated from Juntendo University School of Medicine in 1989 (MD), received PhD degree from Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine in1996, and finished post-doctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC in the USA in 1997. His expertise covers liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). He is currently a director of the Japanese Medical Society of Alcohol and Addiction Studies (JMSAAS) and International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ISBRA).
