Tatehiro Kagawa, MD, PhD, FAASLD, is Director of Liver Center and Professor of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Tokai University School of Medicine, Isehara Japan. He received medical education and MD, PhD degrees at Keio University, Tokyo, Japan. He has been engaged in clinical and basic research on liver diseases at Tokai University since 1993. He has published more than 100 research articles. He was awarded Scientific Excellence Award from Japanese Society of Gastroenterology in 1996 and Hepatology Research Award from Japanese Society of Hepatology in 2009.
