Dr. Alberto Ferrarese is a Gastroenterologist devoted to the field of Hepatology. He obtained his MD degree at Padua University Hospital, Italy. He focused his research at Padua University Hospital mainly on decompensated cirrhosis and liver transplantation. His main research interests are on complications of cirrhosis, bacterial infection in cirrhosis, organ allocation in liver transplantation, adherence and quality of life after liver transplantation. Dr. Alberto Ferrarese obtained in 2019 the Transplant Hepatologist diploma by the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver. He has authored 40 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and he serves as a reviewer for some international journals in the field of Hepatology.
