I was born in Corpus Christi, TX and moved to Houston,TX to complete most of my childhood schooling. After completing my Bachelors in Science from the University of Houston and graduating Summa Cum Laude, I moved to West Virginia to attend medical school at Marshall University SOM. My wife and I decided to then move to Massachusetts where I completed both my Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. I then joined faculty at the University of Florida to pursue advanced endoscopy training. In addition to developing skills to learn standard advanced endoscopy, I received dedicated training in advanced endoscopic resection and submucosal endoscopy (POEM, ESD, etc) under the tutelage of Dr Peter Draganov. I have accepted a position at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston as Assistant Professor in Advanced Endoscopy with a focus on Advanced Endoscopic Resection and Submucosal Endoscopy, where I am excited to join the faculty beginning January 2020.
