Dr. Chengfei Zhao is an associate professor in School of Pharmacy and Medical Technology, Putian University. Dr. Zhao acquired his MS degree and MD degree in Fujian Medical University in 2014 and 2019, respectively. He has been working in School of Pharmacy and Medical Technology, Putian University since 2014. He presided over a National Natural Science Foundation of China and Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province. He is a reviewer of several scientific journals, and has published more than 10 peer-reviewed articles. His research focuses on early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, detection of pancreatic cancer-related markers, and treatment of pancreatic cancer, and he is also interested in the epidemiology of pancreatic diseases. He has been engaged in research on pancreatic diseases since 2014, and received guidance and help from Professor Qi-Cai Liu. Now he is also working on applications of nanotechnology for pancreatic diseases, such as detection and treatment. He believed that the intersection of medicine and other disciplines, especially emerging ones like artificial intelligence and nanotechnology, is the crucial means to promote medical progress. For example, he combined electrochemistry with nanotechnology to detect K-ras gene, a marker for pancreatic cancer.
