Dr. Somasagara is an academic researcher in North Carolina Central University USA.  Currently Dr. Somasagara focusing on developing the novel in vivo PDX model for select the best personalized medicine and CART cell therapy to cancer patients. Dr. Somasagara completed his Ph.D. in year 2010 from University of Mysore, India. During his graduation, he worked on novel amino acid and peptide conjugates of heterocyclic compounds to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of potent drug entities for different cancer models. Dr. Somasagara’s post graduate training undertook on cancer stem cells, drug resistance and disease relapse in different cancer models including drug resistance in ovarian cancer and its function in regulating the stem cell characteristics in drug resistant ovarian cancer cells. Dr. Somasagara is a member of the editorial boards and a reviewer of several scientific journals and has published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles.
