Professor Yong-mei Song does her research on cancer in State Key Laboratory of Molecular Oncology, National Cancer Center/National Clinical Research Center for Cancer/Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. Her research interest is focused on the molecular mechanism of tumor initiation and progression and the Intervention of potential targets. A series of original studies were carried out on the human esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCC) and breast cancer. The research field involves the tumor associated molecular mechanism study on genome variation, non-coding RNAs and oriented metastasis, etc. In recent years, Professor Song has undertaken a number of national subjects, such as the 973 National Fundamental Program and 863 National High Technology Research and Development Program. Professor Song has totally published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and has been granted 8 patents, of which 3 were international patents. Most of her publications are in prestigious journals, including Nature, Cancer Research, Theranostics and Journal of Biological Chemistry. Professor Song is a frequent reviewer for Journal of Translational Medicine, international journal of molecular medicine and Molecular Medicine Reports. She is also a member of China Healthcare International Exchange Association-Health Science Branch, and Chinese Research Hospital Association-The Specialized Committee of Molecular tumor and immunotherapy.
