I am a 40 years old Consultant Intensivist/Anesthetist working in an Academic Hospital. I graduated in Medicine in July 2005 and hold specialization in Anesthesia and Intensive Care from Nov 2009. I have completed also a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology in 2013. After my specialization I have been working for almost five years in very famous University Hospitals in the United Kingdom (Cambridge, Oxford, St Georges London). During these experiences I have produced clinical research focusing mainly on airways, hemodynamics and echocardiography, cardiac arrest and cardiac anesthesia. I am currently author of over 100 publications on Pubmed and several abstracts sent to national and international Meetings. In 2009, I presented an abstract that was selected as “Best Oral Communication” at the X° WFSICCM. I am very proud of being awarded with the best award for “Excellence in clinical teaching of residents” by the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in recognition of the clinical teaching of US resident during their experience in ISMETT Hospital. I was the first Faculty member not based in Pittsburgh receiving such prestigious prize. I am actively involved in the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and in the Italian Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care (SIAARTI). I hold the Licence as Associate Professor in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, issued by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research (MIUR). I am certified European Diploma of Intensive Care (ESICM 2013), and I hold the accreditation for Trans-Oesophageal Echocardiography (European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging -  EACVI). I am elected member of the Board of the Italian Association of Cardio-thoracic Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care.
