PhD in Medical Sociology (2009) and Master’s degree in Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (2005). Member of the Coordination board of the Healthcare Management course of the University of Coimbra. Director of the Laboratory of Forensic Dentistry of the University of Coimbra. She is Professor of Forensic Dentistry, Dental Anatomy, Health Quality and Health Strategy at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). She is a dental expert in Forensic Odontology at the Center Branch of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Portugal. Past-member of the Coordinator board of International Relations of the Faculty of Medicine ( 2013-2019). Visiting professor in several universities (e.g. Paris Descartes, Granada, Sapienza and São Paulo). She works in the academic and research issues of Legal Medicine, Forensic Sciences and Health Quality.
