A/Prof Marjan Khajehei holds a PhD in Public Health (Sexology), as well as Bachelor and Master degrees in Midwifery. She is currently working full-time at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. She is a passionate researcher, clinician and academic who is deeply committed to improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by a strong belief in the value of interdisciplinary collaboration and cultural responsiveness. With over three decades of clinical experience and two decades of academic leadership, A/Prof Khajehei brings a unique blend of practical knowledge and scholarly insight to her field. A/Prof Khajehei has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, serving as first or corresponding author on many of her works. Her research has been cited more than 1000 times, and she holds an H-index of 19 on Google Scholar. She has presented at numerous international academic conferences and has successfully secured competitive research grants at both national and international levels. She is also an active member of several professional associations, contributing to the advancement of healthcare education and practice. In addition to her research, A/Prof Khajehei has made significant contributions to academic publishing. She has peer-reviewed a large number of manuscripts and authored several editorials for respected journals, helping to shape the direction of research in her areas of expertise. Her long-term research interests include maternal and reproductive health, sexual health education and the development of clinical reasoning skills in healthcare training.
