I am an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist with almost 40 years of experience in clinical practice, academic medicine, and postgraduate education. I graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa Medical School. I was certified as a Maternal–Fetal Medicine specialist in 2011 and obtained certification in IVF clinical practice in 2013 and IVF laboratory practice in 2016. Between 2013 and 2020, I worked as a full-time IVF subspecialist at Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Care, Training and Research Hospital and Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. I also served as an Educator in the IVF unit, training trainees between 2018 and 2020. In 2020, I served as the Education Chief of the maternity ward. From 2021 to 2023, I worked in Gynecology. From 2023 to 2025, I worked in Perinatology at Bilkent City Hospital. Since January 2026, I have been working in the Perinatology Department at İzmir City Hospital. My academic record includes 281 scientific papers, comprising 99 publications indexed in PubMed, Scopus, or Web of Science; 38 publications in national journals; 19 book chapters; and 126 international or national presentations and posters. My work has received 1,070 citations and has produced a Web of Science H-index of 18; Google Scholar records 2,352 citations and an H-index of 24. I have also completed 1,187 verified peer reviews and 128 verified editor records. One of my principal clinical and research interests is gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), particularly screening, diagnosis, and management. I have authored 20 papers on GDM and have actively participated in clinical research trials investigating innovative strategies to improve outcomes for women and their babies. My nearly four decades of clinical experience, together with expertise in maternal–fetal medicine, IVF, clinical research, and medical education, enables me to evaluate submissions rigorously and constructively. I remain committed to scientific integrity and journal excellence.
