George A. Koumantakis PhD, MSc, PT is a member of the academic staff at the Department of  Physiotherapy, University of West Attica, Athens, Greece. Dr Koumantakis completed his training in Physiotherapy in Athens, Greece and later postgraduate and doctoral studies in Manchester, UK. Dr. Koumantakis has authored a number of peer reviewed publications (20 in Medline) and a book chapter in the field of assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. His research interests include functional anatomy, postural assessment, musculoskeletal disorders and orthopaedic trauma rehabilitation, sports injuries prevention and management, and the cross-cultural adaptation of patient-reported outcomes. He has been previously clinically employed in the 401 Army General Hospital of Athens (2006-2019) and is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of West Attica, Athens, Greece.
