Yaroslav M Susak was born in 1964. 1987 - finished medical faculty of Lviv Order of Friendship of Peoples and graduated from State Medical University. 2006-2019 – Professor of the Department of Surgery of Bogomolets National Medical University. Since 2020 - Head of the Department of Surgery with the Course of Emergency and Vascular Surgery of Bogomolets National Medical University. 1997 – defended PhD (Candidate of Sciences) dissertation on “The significance of biliary microlithiasis in the selection of treatment tactics on acute recurrent pancreatitis”. 2004 - defended PhD (Doctor of Sciences) dissertation on “Diagnostics and treatment of non-inflammatory pancreatic diseases compounded by jaundice”. Since 2008 – clinical director of specialized Сenter for Liver, Biliary Tract and Pancreatic Surgery of Kiev City Clinical Emergency Hospital. At present more than 200 scientific works have been published. 20 of them are Scopus indexed. H-index (Scopus – 6). 1997 – awarded the European Parliament’s Dignity Order. Specialty– pancreatic surgery, complex treatment of pancreonecrosis.
