Su-Su Liao, female, born in 1955 in Beijing, graduated and received medical bachelor from School of Public Health, Beijing Medical University in 1986, and studied as a doctoral candidate in Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) and obtained Ph.D in epidemiology in 1991. As a full-time professor in the Depa rtment of Epidemiology, PUMC, she is teaching epidemiology as well as doing research primarily on hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS and STDs-related public health issues. She has published more than 10 papers and translated 4 books (as one of the co-translators) since 1991.
