The authors have decided to retract the article published on World J Gastrointest Oncol (2023) for further consideration due to data errors and some misunderstandings in communication.

We have reappraised our experiment, and will carry out subsequent research on this topic. We regret that there were data labeling errors in Figure 5I. The curves which represent si-CPSF6 and si-CPSF6+OV-IBSP groups were reversed. More importantly, we misdefined pyroptosis, therefore, we used flow cytometry (FITC Annexin V Apoptosis Detection Kit) to detect pyroptosis, and concluded that CPSF6 regulates IBSP to affect pyroptosis in gastric cancer. After reviewing related literature, we found that the data from our study could not directly reflect the actual pyroptosis[1-3]. Consequently, our conclusion is not convincing. With the approval of all the authors and to avoid misleading the readers, we respectfully request to retract the article “RNA-binding protein CPSF6 regulates IBSP to affect pyroptosis in gastric cancer.
