DOB_max is the peak value of the delta over baseline (DOB) curve, which reflects the change in the natural ¹³CO₂/¹²CO₂ ratio exhaled to the ingestion of a labeled substrate during the test period. T_max reflects the time at which the peak amplitude of DOB curve appears. MV_max reflects the largest metabolic rate of ¹³CO₂, and CUM₁₂₀ reflects the cumulative percentage of administered dose of ¹³CO₂ recovered over time at 120 min.
