HBsAg^-/anti-HBc^-/anti-HBs^-: HBV infection naïve; HBsAg⁺/anti-HBc⁺/anti-HBs^-: chronic HBV infection; HBsAg^-/anti-HBc⁺/anti-HBs⁺: acquired immunity to HBV infection.
