AIM: To analyse the gastroscopic features of gastritis-like carcinoma of stomach.
METHODS: The clinical and gastroscopic and pathological features in 22 patients with gastritis-like carcinoma of stomach were compared and analysed.
RESULTS: Five features of gastritic-like carcinoma of stomach have been obtained: (1) gastric cavity became smaller, gastric angle disappeared, and gastric peristalsis reduced; (2) gastric mucosa was rough and luster disappeared and projecting partides or congestive hydrops like angleworm on the surface of mucosa were seen; (3) there were white patches on the erosive surfaces of gastric mucosa; (4) old and new hemorrhagic spots coexisted. (5) the precancerosis were found by the previous gastric tissue biopsy.
CONCLUSION: The above five features were the suspicious ambiguous lesions of gastritis-like carcinoma of stomach.
